Therese Lindgren proclaims on her Instagram account promises to only advertise for clothing companies that can match the criteria she has set. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I started posting selfies here on instagram and haul videos on Youtube nine (!!) years ago, I never thought that in the future I would be able to call it my job. <\/p>

I am so grateful that I not only get to work with the absolute most fun I know, but that I also get to meet so many incredible people that I might otherwise never have met.<\/p>

The difference today compared to nine years ago is that my platforms are also an advertising channel that companies are willing to pay to be seen in. <\/p>

I have always had my principles about animal rights issues and have turned down collaborations that do not live up to them, but now I have also come to a point where I no longer feel that I can represent advertising for certain fashion companies. <\/p>

When I read about the fashion industry's negative climate impact and the poor conditions of factory workers, I get a stomach ache. Therefore, I have landed in that from now on I\u00b4ll stop advertising for fast fashion.<\/p>

Together with the sustainability expert @ johannaleymann.se <\/a>, I have developed a bunch of criteria, or \"requirements\", for future fashion collaborations and with these I hope above all to be able to influence companies in the fashion industry, but also keep my fingers crossed that my influencer colleagues want to use the list.<\/p>

I believe so much in the potential for change that exists in this issue as long as we urge on and use our power.<\/p>

My demands on fashion companies that want to collaborate with me is that the company\u2026<\/p>

\u2022 Keep track of how much total climate impact they have today.
\u2022 Have a clear plan to reduce their emissions.
\u2022 Work actively to reduce the number of newly manufactured products.
\u2022 Have open supplier lists.
\u2022 Can tell how much those who sew the clothes earn.
\u2022 Know that those who sew the clothes can organize themselves in union.
\u2022 Have signed the work environment agreement in Bangladesh.
\u2022 Do not engage in greenwashing.
\u2022 Not convicted of sexist marketing in the last three years.
\u2022 Complies with current laws and regulations that apply to advertising collaborations and pays fees and not in products.
\u2022 Does not manufacture or sell animal fur products.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Therese has been one of the best sellers when it comes to clothes that in a physical store would be perceived as rubbish but which have sold very well online. Her partners have also taken several hundreds SEK in return fees so it has been a pure loss-making deal many times for her young followers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has a financial opportunity today to stop collaborating with all these companies that now no longer fit according to the criteria that Therese has created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
