Tinder swindler Simon Leviev has now been sued by the real Leviev family. Shimon Yehuda Hayut, as his real name was, changed his name to Leviev in order to fool his victims into believing that he belonged to the rich diamond family.
But now after the Netflix documentary, the Leviev family has reacted and a report of a crime has been submitted.
TMZ writes that the family's lawyer announces that charges were brought on Monday morning in Israel against Simon in order for justice to be done for the damage that has been done to the Leviev name. The reason given by the lawyer is slander and invasion of privacy.
He has been instructed by the family to wage a full-scale war against Simon Leviev and his deeds in the future as well.
The Leviev family intends to donate the indemnity to every victim of Simon Leviev's crime.
A representative of Simon Leviev tells TMZ, "Simon believes that the family is only trying to take advantage of the publicity after the show's success. Simon also changed his legal name in 2015 and looks forward to this being taken up in court. "
