Jansson's temptation in Vegostyle

I found this recipe for the Swedish dish Jansson's temptation (Janssons frestelse) in vegan style in Vegomagasinet and you should definitely try it.

8 servings on a buffet. Preparation: can be made in advance and frozen.

The secret is to grind or mix together capers, pickles and soy sauce, which gives a moderately salty taste to spice up the cream with.

2 onions, thinly sliced ​​
2 tablespoons milk-free margarine
1 kg potatoes
2 tablespoons capers, finely chopped
2 tablespoons pickles, finely chopped
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
½ teaspoon ground allspice
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
0.5 teaspoon salt
7.5 dl cream, t ex oat or soy cream
0.5 dl breadcrumbs
3 tablespoons milk-free margarine

1. Set the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
2. Fry the onion in the margarine until it softens and becomes a bit transparent.
3. Shred the potatoes finely and mix with the onion in a gratin dish.
4. Mortar capers and pickles into a puré. You can also mix it together with a hand mixer. Mix in soy sauce, allspice, cinnamon and salt. It should be as smooth puré as possible.
5. Mix the puré with the potatoes and onion. Pour over the cream.
6. Sprinkle over the breadcrumbs and click on the margarine.
7. Gratinate your Jansson for 60 minutes until it has a nice color.
