I just made oatcookies for lack of candy here at home. These cookies will be very thin.
I'm not that fond of cakes at all so this was the first time I baked these. They turned out pretty good. I replaced the butter with dairy-free margarine and the milk with oat milk.
Ingredients
- 75 gr butter
- 1 dl caster sugar
- 1 dl oat flakes
- 1 dl wheat flour
- 1.5 tablespoons milk
- 1.5 tablespoons light syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
Do this:
Set the oven to 200 ° C. Bring out a saucepan, you will use it to make the whole batter.
Melt the butter. Turn off the plate and remove the saucepan from the plate. Stir in sugar, oatmeal, wheat flour, milk, syrup, ginger and baking powder to a smooth batter.
Click out the batter, about ½ tbsp to each cookie, with a fairly large distance on a sheet of parchment paper, as the batter flows out when the cookies are baked. For a normal-sized oven, you need 2-3 plates for a batch of cookies.
Bake the cookies in the middle of the oven at 200 ° C for about 5 minutes or until they have a nice golden yellow color. In a convection oven 175 ° C for about 8 minutes.
The recipe is from this site.
This is how the cookies should look like. Crispy and nice looking. Maybe mine weren´t so pretty but they tasted delicious!
