Tone Sekelius was chosen LGBTQ of the Year in the QX gala and she thanks everyone who voted for her in an emotional Instagram post:
Yesterday was the QX gay gala and I was named LGBTQ of the year. No less than our Prime Minister handed out the prize, what an honor!
Ever since I started sharing my life, I have openly cherished the importance of being myself. To live as one's true self, even though the world we live in sometimes does not allow it.Sometimes it's done by just existing and taking place, sometimes by music, and sometimes by concrete chats in videos, and I'll never stop there! You are the biggest, best and can handle everything. Take a seat, shout loudly and enjoy the freedom to be exactly who you are.
Thank you to everyone who voted, and thank you for all your support, for that I am eternally grateful.
